Byzantine and Box Tutorial

When it comes to chain maille jewelry, the weave most people new to maille want to make is the Byzantine weave.  It's a magical pattern that seems terribly difficult, but is in fact super-easy!

Byzantine is known under several other names, such as Birdcage, Idiot's Delight and Etruscan.  And I imagine there are tons more names for this wonderful weave.  It's extremely versatile, and is one of those weaves that can be used as a bracelet, earrings, necklace and just about anything else you can think of!

Box is very closely related to Byzantine, even if it doesn't quite look it!  The Box has a boxy/squared profile, in contrast to Byz's rounded contours.
